Best Online Divorce for uncomplicated divorce

Hi

Just looking for an easy cheap way for our divorce, we have been separated for 7 years and all the legal stuff with solicitors was done back when we separated, we have a separation agreement signed and witnessed through the solicitors covering arrangements for kids, money division (which was done back then) etc etc, the solicitor ensured everything the courts would require for a divorce was covered, anyhow the years have gone by and to be honest there has been no need to rush a divorce through so we have just gone our separate ways without one. Now I want a divorce as plan to remarry in 2012 but as all the legal stuff was done previously and I have the separation agreement it should be very straight forward, have printed out sample divorce forms and its all totally confusing to me and I know I need to do some form about the kids too so I was thinking of using one of those online divorce companies so they can help me complete the forms as I don't know where to start, does anyone have any recommendations or advice?

thanks :)

  • I used divorce online. They were great, did the contact and maintenance stuff too. I divorced based on years separated too. I have been married to my second husband for 4 years.

The company sent me and ex the forms, and the instructions of what to do at each point. It was easy and quick.

Make sure it is a clean break (If desired) as even after divorce claims can possibly be made against each other many years down the road - inheritance etc.

If it really is straightforward, then rather than use an online service go to the court yourself. You will usually be lucky enough to find someone helpful at the court to assist you a bit.

That said, where children and money are involved, I would prefer to use a solicitor.

I just picked up the forms from the court office and did it all myself. That way it only costs the statutory court fees :money:
Here I go again on my own....
