I'm 99% sure we are buying a bungalow which is in a street full of dorma bungalows so the prescendant has been set but i'm wondering about the foundations. Does anyone know if this is a generally a concern ?
Also it's semi detached so if we want to build up do they have to agree ?
TIA

If you intend to extend your Bungalow upwards, you will need to have both Planning Permission and Building Regulations Approval - the Building Regs will make sure the foundations are OK.
If you apply for Planning Permission your immediate neighbours (on both sides and possibly at front and rear) will be consulted and invited to express their opinions, although Planning Permission will not be automatically denied if they object (nor automatically granted if they have no objections).
You would need to have different sets of plans drawn up for B. Regs and Planning Permission.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0
