FWIW your mate might want to look at wordpress or joomla as ready-made systems which can be skinned (templates, loads free and commercial), and don't require HTML to edit his own pages, but can use the CMS interface. In short, he gets someone to install it, then he just logs in and makes the changes himself. Wordpress is simpler, Joomla a bit fancier, Drupal fancier still, Django quite hefty - he shouldn't go fancier/more complicated than he needs :-)0 -
I use Wordpress and Drupal for some my sites. and many Hosting companies provide Out Of The Box dead simple templates.0
