Please can someone recommend a decent meet & greet parking service at Heathrow please? We wouldn't normally use a service like that but I'd like to splash out for a special holiday in April. I've heard some really dodgy stories though so would like a recommendation if possible.
I usually use off site parking Airparks at BHX but have never parked at Heathrow before.
Many thanks,

Terminal 5 has some of the best parking services. It has facilities for short and long stay parking. It also has valet service. I'm really not aware of your requirements. You can check heathrowterminal5.com/transport/airport-parking for more details.0 -
I've used Meteor at Gatwick, Heathrow and most recently Stansted and each time they have been prompt, polite and courteous. (no - I'm not an employee) and well worth paying extra for.
They often have special discount offers so check their website.0 -
With all the respect for the quality of Meteor service (never used myself), they are nearly twice as expensive as some other Meets and Greets in Heathrow.
Just checked on parkandgo.co.uk a week (9 days) starting 10th April - Drive Fly Supersaver Meet and Greet 53.10, Meteor on their own website - 103.00.
As I understand only the difference between Drive Fly Supersaver and normal Drive Fly is that you cannot cancel it. (Funny enough, you don't need even to book it in far in advance, it's avialable next day).
Anyway, there another 5 Meets and Greets avialable for my dates on park and go, all cheaper then Meteor. I am sure their service will be all right, too... well, it has been so far with Edward Lloyd (used twice in 2 years)0 -
Sorry, need to mention the standart price for Drive Fry supersaver would be 59.00, it's just because we have used park and go website before, we have got a 10% off as a previous customer.
The code is PRV1 by the way. My friend used it making her first booking, was fine.0 -
Purple parking are quite legit and well known.
Upsides - Very secure (CCTV camers, high fencing all around).
Hardworking and polite staff.
Great value for money.
Downsides - can take anything betwee 12-45 minutes to get to the terminal. They go round 1,2 & 3 in turn so will be longer if you are last.
Doesn't normally take 45 minutes but in rush hour it can be very difficult to get out from the minor road onto the major road.
Not the most luxurious minibuses in the world.0 -

Just wondering if you know wheter or not this service has any restricted times of operation? I have been on a few sites where the cheaper meet and greets do not operate between midnight and 0400/0500, and as our flight does not land at Heathrow until late evening, I am a little wary should our flight be delayed and we don't arrive until after midnight.0 -
How long are you going for/how far to travel
Another option is one way car hire starts at £49 each way
drop of the bags and family then drop the car and get back to the terminal. On return one goes for the car while the other/rest wait for the bags.
Not wuite as convenient as a valet but don't put the miles on your own car.
I checked holiday extras(10% off code around) and hotel with 14night parking was £65 for tonight.0 -

well, I believe if the Meet and Greet service is showing on the internet when you put your time as avialable, then it is operating. Drive Fly Heathrow in particular is avialable 24 hrs a day (well, on parkandgo website), though is getting more expensive if you put 3am as arrival time, for example - just try to put different times to see how much exactly.
I prefer to use Manchester airport myself - and Meet and Greet there is really cheap, also, the same price day and night! I have used Luxury Chauffeur Meet and Greet few times now, and for late arrivals, too - perfect!0 -
Thanks for the replies.getmore4less wrote: »How long are you going for/how far to travel

I had thought of that (got a good rate with Avis), but this would mean having to drop the car at the rental place the evening before (as we are aiming to be at T5 for 0600), and this would add additional cost for a taxi/bus from the Travelodge. Can't really drop off in the morning as there is no way that wife and daughter would be getting up any earlier than absolutely necessary!!well, I believe if the Meet and Greet service is showing on the internet when you put your time as avialable, then it is operating. I managed to book a meet and greet through parkandgo (via Quidco - 10% discount) which I am assured operates 24 hours!! Would have preferred flying from Manchester myself, but these flights are funded with Airmiles courtesey of Tesco Clubcard and there was no available return connecting flights as we land back at 8pm.
Thanks again.0
