My sons esa was stopped after we missed an appointment at the local atos medical centre in Manchester.

Originally we requested the appointed to be a home visit or closer to my home in salford.

Unfortunatly my ex-wife was due to take him as I was unable to have time of work.

I cant make much sense of that.

How many appointments did he miss?

What's your ex-wife got to do with your sons claim?

The date of the original medical. Is this the one he passed or the one he didnt attend?

Are you an appointee for your son ie. are you authorised by the department to act on his behalf?

The DWP would have written to your son asking his reasons for not attending the medical. Did you not receive this letter?
    Gone ... or have I?

Did you submit a doctors letter explaining the reasons for the home visit? They will not go by your word alone.

No I did not but when I wrote to them and called I recommended if they had any doubts they should contact his doctor's.

All there contact details were passed onto ATOS at the original Medical.

They never asked for any evidence when I called or wrote, had they done this I would have obtained the relevant letter. The whole family has the same GP and he is very aware and sympathetic of the situation.

They wont call the GP, its not their job too nor are they interested in where the rest of the family are registered for GP services.

I was unaware they would not call any of my son's medical team.

What concerns me is I wrote to them and called them numerous times. Yet not once was the point raised that i should send them medical evidence.

How do you suggest I proceed with this matter?

I would speak to everyone that deals with your sons care and ask them to document the period in question (not now, that dosnt count but what was going on at the time of the medical does) to see if that helps his case.

And make sure that all corrospondance now goes to your address in future, his mum is from your posts unsable to help him with such things, so it would be best if you monitered things to help him.
