Hi,
What is the best way to convert avi files so that they can be burned to a dvd, and played in a dvd player?
Any recommendations for any free software?

Have to agree DVDflick was recommended to me and works brilliant .0

It might be better to get a dvd player that plays avi files like XviD, DivX or even mkv rather than fart about converting which takes some time
Many cheap players will play these formats (containers as they are called) now. the more expensive one scan play mkv0 -
Now have Dvdflick, and it works great.
I can play the avi files already, I just needed to specifically convert it to dvd. Takes about an hour to convert, which I can cope with!0 -
Don't forget to go to project properties and tick burn, once the conversion is done.0
