Npower refund calculations are wrong! Get an extra refund

What
Npower have refunded millions of customers millions of pounds because they incorrectly charged too much.

I requested a detail breakdown of my refund and I then registered a complaint with them as I thought the calculation they used to 'correct' their previous 'mistake' was wrong.

They agreed and refunded me more money. For those that already received a full breakdown, if you have a year where there is a negative refund (so they're taking money away from you) then you'll almost certainly in for an extra refund if you complain.

If my refund is wrong then so could yours be too.
Even if you've not yet received a refund, you could still be due one because they have incorrectly calculated the 'correction' refund!

What you need to do
Register a complaint with nPower saying "the assumption made in the refund calculation was to assume that I used all the primary units within a time period. Whilst I'm happy with this assumption when I'm to benefit, I'm not happy with this assumption when it benefits nPower which it can do under some circumstances. I would like nPower to provide me with a full breakdown using ACTUAL figures, not assumed figures for my Primary units."

What went wrong the 2nd time
Npower used many different billing systems and it was too much hard work for them to use actual figures to work out the right refunds, so 'working with' the consumer focus, they agreed on an assumption: That all the primary units are used.
This assumption is fine, when it benefits you, but not when it benefits nPower. This is exactly what it does do under certain circumstances; those circumstances are just too complicated to explain here!

Enjoy your extra refund (or you refund if you've not yet received one at all!)
