Paypal Chargeback help needed please :-)

Hi all,
I need a bit of advice as I am getting myself in a pickle and I'm not sure what to do.
I bought my two brother-in-law's a Maglite each from ebay as their Christmas present. But when the goods arrived the Maglites had HUGE whie promotional writing down the side - something which was NOT mentioned in the listing or the photograph. I contacted the seller asking for a refund as I felt I could not give a promo item as a gift and also the goods were not as described. The seller refused and so after a few emails back and forth I decided that I would do a chargeback through paypal.
Fast forward to today. I get an email from paypal asking me to provide documentation from an unbiased third party that is qualified in the area of the item in question to support my claim. It needs to be on letterheaded paper etc, etc. I'm not sure what to do now as I can't exactly walk into a high street shop that sells maglites and ask them to write me a letter!
I am so disgusted that I am having to do this - if they had asked me to provide photographic evidence then I would have done. But I can't see how I am going to achieve this. Please does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this sorted out? I really need the money back so that I can get them decent Christmas presents.
Many thanks, F x

I',m not sure about this one. Could you maybe try phoning Paypal tomorrow to actually talk to a real person rather than a machine?

Sounds to me like Paypal have issued a stock response relevant to counterfeit or fake goods. The items you have are original but have promotional writing on them that was not mentioned on the listing-definately not as described.
I would give them a ring and explain and say you can send them photos if required and see if that gets you anywhere.0 -
charge back though your credit card quoting item not as described and retailer refusing refund."Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0
