As he has two copies of the book you want for sale why not just buy the other one and use the £1 discount on it ?

He has to do it for you.

  • I think he has been reasonably fair in advising you as soon as poss and offering refund plus voucher. However, I bought a book on ebay from someone quite recently (may even be same person) and I was nearly put off by negative/neutral feedback because they said alot of times that two were on offer and then people were emailed to say the book was not up to scratch. If the book is really rare and you are not 100% bothered about the quality (assuming it is cover stains or rips etc) then say you are prepared to accept it whatever (as long as no pages missing or ripped so you cannot read)!

You can pull the seller's details from eBay, or if they are a business, they should have their phone number in their business details on the original listing page.

i've odered the book from a seller with 100% feedback on amazon so the book issue is resolved. it still leaves the transaction on ebay open and he has left me positive feedback. i guess the only thing i can do is wait for him to retract the listing? i still think its a strange way to conduct business.
