Is there anything that can be done to stop the oil from breathers getting in to inlet tract and causing oil residue around the intercooler. It is definately breather related as turbo and engine are fine and i have noticed it on several vw PD cars i have looked at ranging from golfs to passats.

Replace the turbo pipe seals, quite common 'issue', but only a few pence to replace.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. i was thinking of changing some of them aswell as the crap boost pipe on manifold that is made of cheapo metal and breaks over time.
will take a trip down dealer this week and see what they have in stock.0 -
I'd be surprised if they didn't keep them on the shelf, but you'll need to know which ones you're replacing as they are different diameters at different joints.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
