Hi. I am currently with Powergen and I've been comparing energy tariffs and I've found out that I would be better off with Ebico.
My question is at the moment I have Economy 7 electricity and I've worked out (if I've done my sums right!) that I would be slightly better off on the standard tariff. Obviously I have an Economy 7 meter - does anyone know if I would have to get the meter changed to get the standard tariff and, if so, would I be charged for it and also who would I contact to get this arranged?

Some companies allow you to retain both meters and simply add both readings together. I am with BG and this is exactly what happens with me. i.e. a reading of, say, 300kWh on the E7 meter and 1,500kWh on the 'normal' meter is treated as a consumption of 1,800kWh of 'normal' electricity.
I have heard other companies insist on a new meter, some charging for it, others not.
Its been covered before if you do a search.0
