Npower bill help

Hi
Can anyone help me out on this one. I have been with npower for 10 years and always used approximately the same electricity consumption.
So for example in summer i use 7-8kw a day on average and in winter i use 13 kw a day. So you can imagine my horror yesterday when i recieved my bill and it says i averaged 33kw a day during the last 7 weeks (7 week bill because npower have changed my billing quarters).
I am not complaining about how much i am getting charged it is the usage, it DOES NOT make sense. I have no new appliances or anything new even if idid i am sure this much electric would not be used, it is though i am paying the bill for 3 houses.
Npower says get an energy monitor to see what is using it but still i am left with paying a mammoth bill and i don't know where it has been used.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

If you've used it, you'll have to pay for it.
(Check the bill is based on actual meter readings, and that they appear correct)
If you think the meter has developed a fault, you can probably ask for it to be checked (which based on the sudden, unexpected rise in useage the supplier would probably willingly agree to)
Note the supplier may make a charge for such a check if the meter proves faultless ... in which case you'll owe that charge on top of the amount already demanded."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Check also that this is an actual & correct meter reading not just Npowers estimate0

also consider if your bills have always been estimated, therefore not giving you a true picture of your usage. i read my meter every week and average 120kw per week so yours does seem low.If you want to go fast, go alone
If you want to go far, go with friends0 -

I,too, average ~ 120kWh per week - but I KNOW my family are not good at switching things off!!:mad:0 -
