Charges for changing car on policy

Hi Folks,
I was wondering if I had any room for negotitation on this one?
I was due to buy a new car so I called the AA to change it on my current policy (£25 charge) but the deal fell through and I had to take the car off (another £25 charge). I have two payments left to pay and I thought that I would just pay them both off at once but the total price to do this is £106.98...much more than I thought!
As I'm offering to pay a final payment can I ask for the charges to be taken off? Are they likely to do this?
Thanks for anyones help.

You can ask and see if you can manage a reduction - but they hold all the aces! The charges will have been correctly applied in the first place, and by paying off your instalments early they will probably be entitled to charge some sort of early redemption fee because you are clearing your loan earlier than anticipated.0

As a matter of interest does anyone know if there any insurance companies that don't charge you an administration fee for making a change any more?0

Aviva and swiftcover don't. (For changes made online).0

thanks, that's useful to know if you are expecting to change the car during the year0
