HSBC - Faster Payment

It must have been fraud check. The message after the payment was made says:
"Your payment has been sent and will usually be credited to the beneficiary's account within 2 hours, subject to our normal fraud checks."

I think this has cleared it up.

so if i make a payment say for 2k with internet banking will it show up instant and do they call to confirm the transfer or anything?

Should do and no, they (HSBC) won't call you up to confirm
