You could argue that this could be a reason not to recommended this sort of product in the first place?
If you use any tax wrapper, you need to know the rules to get the best out of them.I doubt further advice is going to be free after the initial advice?
IMO, advice is best when its ongoing. Transactional advice is only really suited to small investors and low earners. That doesnt make ongoing advice more expensive. If the upfront was 6% on transactional advice then servicing advice could have been as low as 1% or even no initial cost (I had a discussion earlier today with an IFA who like myself doesnt charge any initial amount on large amount investments with ongoing advice in place)..
