Redundancy - contract not terminated for 3 months - garden leave

Legally you can't work for other employer while you are on garden leave.
There are no laws that stop you having two jobs.
Terms of employment may put restrictions on other work but loads of people ignore them with out even realizing.
On a commitee,
Run a school club,
Volunteer,
etc.
They are all other work and could fall foul of "no work" clauses,
Check the details of the clauses and there may be work options not covered y the clauses.0
