    BG did exactly the opposite some while ago.

    They decreased Tier 1 gas units from 4,572kWh to 2,680kWh and from 900kWh for electricity to 500kWh.

    Not that it made it any cheaper as they increased the Tier1 price to raise the same 'standing charge'

    Hmm, I think I see the light.
    I was reading "first" to be the "first" in time, not the first when calculating the total.
