in Credit cards
Hi, I am thinking of ordering items from another country, but I want to make sure if it possible to claim if somethings go wrong.
Basically if I want to order memory cards from a suppliers website and they only sell in lots of say 500 each time and the price of payment is over £100 am i covered of would the single item thing be taken into account like £1000 dividend between the 500 when makes each card below £100 or because it had to be a batch order it is counted as one item?

I wouldn't count on Section 75, they are individual items which you won't can't use together that (presumably) you are buying in such quantities for a volume discount.0

Are you buying for personal or business reasons?
S 75 does not cover business transactions.0 -
was thinking of auctioning the memory cards on ebay guest that could be classified as business. I think0

From "Which" website:
"Goods purchased overseas
In a landmark ruling, the House of Lords has confirmed that Section 75 does apply to foreign transactions. In 2004 the High Court said the act didn't apply when people made purchases abroad. But that has since been overturned by the Court of Appeal.
The House of Lords has confirmed the protection also applies if you buy goods for delivery to the UK from overseas by telephone, mail order or over the internet."
I have read that the banks will try even harder to get out of this ruling when a claim is made !!!0
