Any dog or cat owners looking for a brush to get rid of loose hair would do well to get over to amazon as they have reduced these brushes by a huge amount (and they were genuine prices as I bought one some time ago). It's only £4.25 now.

This is a slightly wider one suiting dogs but if you search for Furminator on Amazon you will find smaller (blue) ones for cats etc.
Watch the video on the Amazon site or look on Youtube for Furminator. It is truly amazing how much hair comes out. My cat absolutely loves it and will stand all day while you groom her! It doesn't remove hair that is attached to the cat, just loose hair, mostly "undercoat" hair.

I can't rate this highly enough & I bought mine @ full price, less fur in the home & happier cats :0)0

I bought one full price for Zara , my long haired GS girl... she is not too keen on it (LOL) but it is brilliant between visits to the groomer...
Now with 4 cats, need one for them too so just ordered...
Thanks for the topic OP0 -
I bought one from Amazon just befor xmas for under £5. Thought it might be a cheapie version but it is the real thing. Our dog is a collie x and has a very thick coat. when she scatches she leaves clumps of fur behind. She loves the furminator we have combed a whole bin full of her coat and she no longer leaves lots of hair everywhere. money well spend!0

Just brought one - my house and clothes are always covered in fur from our main coons, and is one of them is beginning to malt he gets lots of tangles so hoping having less fur will help with that too

the Furminator is excellent, it really is astonishing how much fur it removes, very impressive.
my dogs and cats enjoy being "furminated" and all try to push each other out of the way to get another turn! :rotfl:bertie200

Another Furminator fan here. Can't recommend it highly enough. :T
I now know it's the collie cross who's shedding 90% of the hair, Fat Bob the Ginger Pup 10% and Idiot Dog doesn't seem to shed at all!
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - please

I too can vouch for the Furminator being incredibly efficient. One of my cats has always been Sir Moult-a-Lot regardless of how often I was brushing him - the first time I used the Furminator on him, I ended up with a carrier bag full of hairs. Now once a week is enough to keep my place reasonably fur-free and he gets far less hairballs too. The other one doesn't shed as much but she's a tart and would do anything to get brushed anyway
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
