Privilege Car Insurance - ONE BIG CON

Has anyone else had problems with Privilege?
I set up a policy middle of December last year and 1 month after the start date they sent me a letter claiming an error in the policy and to change the policy it added £140 to the premium. All because either, their c**p system misinterprets confused.com or the man I spoke to made an error.
Conveniently, my call wasn't able to be accessed to prove I am right, when I know I am right so all they could do was 2 things, cancel pro-rata or I pay.
I work in customer service, I am a customer service manager for Christ sake and I know, the customer, if making a claim that can't be proved wrong, is given the benefit of the doubt. Good Customer Service, gives repeat business, increases reputation which gives more business etc etc. It's called good customer service and the customer is always right (I work in retail so I know that is wrong but its a basic principle).
These companies have upped their premiums to fill their pockets and don't care 1 bit about the customer and, I know why they gave those 2 options because they are the cheapest for me no matter.
I am lucky, I have enough money to spend an extra £40 on another policy, just out of spite really, but i feel sorry for the person who is basically forced to pay the increase because of Privilege's mistake.
I have never written on a forum before but I thought I had to share my feelings with everyone so they understand that, this company gives low insurance premiums, meaning less money for wages which means they pay peanuts but get monkeys to work for them.
RANT OVER!!!!!
BTW, if someone from Privilege is reading this, I am happy to be made a t**t of in front of the Internet IF, and that is a big IF, you can prove I am wrong!!!

I just went through trying to get insurance for a non standard car insurance risk. Whilst some refused to quote though comparison sites, some did. However, on the particular issue I was concerned about, all the comparison sites said ok but transmitted the wrong data. Sometimes the recipient could not even accept that data field but hey, no problem for the comparison sites, just put up a disclaimer and screw the punter over if he doesn't read the small print.
They are crap and the sooner they are binned the better.0
