Balance Transfer to Card with Existing Balance

Hi all,
I have a Barclaycard with outstanding balance of 2800, just started charging interest. They have just offered me 0% for 8 months on new balance transfers.
I have 2000 on another card which also charges interest. I was about to pay it off in full but am I right in thinking that with the new order of payments rules, I would be better off transferring this to the Barclaycard? I can then pay 2k off the Barclaycard once the transfer has completed, which will be applied to the interest-charging balance, leaving me with £800 charging interest and £2k at 0%.
I can then pay the £800 within a month or so, leaving me with just a 0% balance for 8 months. Does that work?!
Hope that makes sense, appreciate your help.
Thanks!
Dan

That is how it should work, yes. You may find they make a 'mistake' that you have to write to them about in order for them to correct it, though.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
