Hello everyone sorry my 1st posting is a long one but I need some advice.
Basically I feel cornered and don't know what to do. It began in late 2007 when I took time off over bullying from a staff member. I work in a call center with over 9 years experience behind me so I'm no spring chicken in that respect and can do the job when not harassed.
I agreed in 2008 to return to work in less hours but it soon became clear that my employer was paying me too much based on my previous hours. So I told my then manager to sort it, I even contacted HR as well to make sure. I worked on but the payments were still wrong, I spoke to the manager and HR again but after 6 months nothing happened so I gave up in the end. I did write a letter to HR saying I was spending so much to cover essential bills, but got no reply to the letter.
So in late 2010 when I could take no more and went off again with poor performance for good measure due to the whole stress of the money issue and working practices. Now in 2011 I have been told that I don't need to pay back the large sum if I agree to leave the business and fore go any leaving package (norm a few months wages). I see that I have 3 options (but I will stand corrected)
1. Just agree to leave with no job prospects and be thankful that I don't have to pay them
2. Stay where I am pay the money back but risk the sack for ill health and still owe them
3. Stay in the job pay back the money but risk the sack for poor performance and still owe them
So as you see my options very limited and the union have been hopeless in helping me. Sorry again for the long post but any advise is welcome.
