Hi I have looked elsewhere for the answer to this question as I'm sure someone else must have asked but so far no luck!!
My credit card 0% period is about to end and I notice that a number of different cards are owned by the same bank. Do I need to make sure that I select a different card's bank each time.
Any help soon would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Paul.

really depends on what the purpose you will be using the new card for0

If you're wanting to transfer a balance, you'll need to find a card from a different provider.
Check out Who Owns Who before applying.0 -
Not sure what you mean. I need to transfer my debt as my 0% is coming to an end. For instance I have it on Bank of Scotland owned by the Halifax. If I pick another card to transfer too do I need to make sure it is not run by the Halifax.
Many thanks,

Yes that's right, you will have to pick a different card provider.Aiming to be debt free....but still off target0 -
Hi Cymru61
Welcome to MSE & the credit card board!
Yes. To be exact you need to avoid the cards in the table which are issued by HBOS.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
as YorkshireBoy says, if you are looking to transfer debt from one card to another then you will need a different provider.
the halifax and Bos are both from the HBOS group and wouldn't be accepted at a 0% rate0 -
However you can transfer to the HBOS run Sainsburys card, as it as classed as a separate bank when it comes to balance transfers.0
