Bebt Recovery Company?

An international customer of ours failed to pay a fairly hefty bill, and our solicitors basically told us it would cost us several thousands of get a law firm in their country to take the case, with no guarentee it would be successful.. as a small company we could not risk through good money after bad..
I just today happened across a website that claims to recover international debt with no fee if unsucessful...
It may be a stretch, but has anyone here got any experience with this sort of thing or could recommend a good debt recovery firm?
Thanks
Ryan

There are loads of so called 'no win, no fee' companies out there covering all types of claims.
But remember where there is a win, there is a fee!
Also remember that there are loads of terms and conditions as well as 'no win, no fee' which probably includes terms that says if you suspend the company from acting on your behalf, you will also get charged a fee, and that if you don't continue to fully co-operate with the debt recovery, that would be considered an instruction to suspend them acting on your behalf (with the resultant fee due).
I would strongly advise you follow the advice given to you by your independent leagal advisor ... it is after all why you consulted them."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Thanks for the input..
Problem is, if we follow our solicitors advice, we are out a LOT of money... we are talking enough to pay 2 employees for a year.
One firm I called today said they were "no win - no fee", but wanted £1000 or so up front... I called them on the "no win no fee" claim and asked would we get that back if they didnt win, but we dont..
Im trying to find some reviews of firms but its hard... whoever we decide to probably go with I will have our solicitors take a look at the paperwork before we sign anything... its far to much money to just forget about so Im left with no choice really..

I really would advise you most strongly against thinking of going against any professional, independent legal advice you have received in favour of any post to the contrary by an anonymous person on an internet forum.
You may well be out of money already, but you could be out of a lot more by following the wrong advice."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
