Really are you joking? your winding me up aint you? please tell me you are !!
Also, with Natwest / RBS you have to deal with the dreaded AVU who close many acccounts even after it "looks" like all is ok and the thing is done.
The AVU is a scary thing, like Gestapo for banks."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
Actually RBS Group do both.
They do a Equifax search part way through the application, if that fails they divert the application to a Step account application and don't offer a chequebook.
They subsequently perform an Experian search once they have received the signed paperwork and any requisite documents they may have asked for as a final check; and can still decline even if you pass the Equifax check they do initially. It depends on how similar the applicants data is on EQ and EX.
Natwest searched both experian and equifax at the same time when I applied for mine (did it online), and when I sent my form back, they didnt do any other searches, soft or otherwise, although I had an existing savings account with them, so maybe thats whyDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0 -
The rbs group are only able to credit score applications between 6am-11pm using experian so any applications made after that time are queued until the next working day to be credit scored. So sometimes you may find its done straight away and others its not. However this will change from the 01/02/11 :-) Thats why you may find different people have difference experiences when making an application online.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
