I had an operation on my oesophagus yesterday and I'm just recovering. I have to have a liquid diet for a week. I just made myself a nice pan of butternut squash soup for lunch but I can't eat it because it hurts too much as it goes down. It smells delicious too.
Ooh! Ouch! you have my sympathy! It was bad enough when I had my tonsils out (when I was 28!) - I had to hold onto something before swallowing! the sadists make you start drinking water an hour after coming round from the anaesthetic, eat a normal dinner on the night and cornflakes and toast before they will let you go home next morning!
Hope you feel better soon!PigginSkint's debt free diary
