should I send tickets to a different address?

Hope someone can help me again - why is nothing straightforward.....

I had 2 spare tickets to sell for a concert this weekend ( indecisive teenager strikes again...) so learnt from prev mistakes and did bin with immediate payment required and stated only to confirmed addresses.

someone who is obviously a ticket agent has bought them and on the paypal payment it does say confirmed but they have overtyped part of the agency details with address to be confirmed and sent it to me in a different email.

The delivery address is in the Uk, the overtyped agency address is in the Uk but the ebay account is in Europe.

Their feedback is good and time is obv running out to resell so should I send or not? I did read somewhere on the ebay boards that the seller protection doesn't cover non-uk or non-us purchasers so would that not apply as they are European?

Thanks for any advice - I think I'll just stick to selling books from now on........

You must send them to the address listed on the Paypal payment for seller protection.

If they have changed the address in the notes section, or have sent you a different address through email, don't send to that.

    Thanks shellsuit

    so what should I do?

won't they leave me bad feedback and can I get any fees back as I stated confirmed only in the terms?

You don't really have any reason to refund and cancel the sale (which is the only way I can imagine you getting your fees back)

The address is confirmed, as you requested, so no problem there. The only problem is them asking you to send to an alternative address. You'll have to explain that this isn't possible and you have to send to the paypal address to cover yourself.

If they then wish to withdraw from the sale, that's their outlook.

Another alternative: if they agree to pay by another means which can reach you in time, it doesn't really matter where you send the tickets... but make sure you have the money before despatching.

I think you can claim fees back if you have been asked to send to a different address, contact them and say you are only willing to send to their confirmed paypal address.
  • And send them by trackable means of course
