Where Do I Start to Rebuild My Life?

My husband of 12 years has suddenly, and without warning, decided he doesn't want to be with me anymore. I have absolutely no idea how I move forward from this practically. I will try to explain my situation concisely in the hope that someone will be able to offer advice or guidance.
I currently receive contributory ESA and I am in the support group. I have been in receipt of the lower rate DLA, this is due to end in March this year and I am planning on applying again I think. My husband and I had a mortgage together but I have left the home with no plans to return (the house is now in negative equity). We have no savings, in fact plenty of debts, but that is a seperate issue. I have moved temporarily into my mother's home but obviously need to make plans for a permanent place of my own. The only income I have is my ESA and soon to stop DLA, would I be able to get help with housing costs? Its all a mess at the moment and I have no idea what options there are available to me if any. I know CAB is probably my best bet but at the moment explaining my situation to someone face-to-face is just far too much for me to cope with.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can just help me a little bit.

Hi
You will not get any support for housing if you are living with your parents. However, they might be able to claim additional support for you as an adult dependent.
Go to www.turn2us.org.uk.
Your parents need to do this, rather than you.
If you move out, you will be eligible for Income Support, LHA and Council Tax benefitsIf you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

The OP claims ESA. You can't claim ESA and IS at the same time.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I think you should really go speak to someone at Womens Aid - they have experienced staff who can help
mediate between you and your "X". And help with financial advise. - if you haven't renewed your DLA you should do so
FAST! Seems they're taking upto 12 weeks to complete renewals.
You should get more benefits from ESA now your on your own as I get contribution based ESA in the support group and
I don't qualify for any of the additional benefits because I'm not single.
You now need to look after No.1 - YOU - no moping, you might find your husband will come back with his tail between
his legs in a few months (my sisters partner did the same thing - and she kicked him to the kerb!).

Womens Aid assist those experiencing domestic violence, they aren't relationship mediators.
To the OP - Shelter will be able to advise you about your housing rights and options. Remember that if you are a joint owner, you are still responsible for paying for the mortgage and exposed to the risk of costs associated with repossession, including the negative equity, if this takes place.
The Debt Free wanabee board will help you understand how to manage and deal with your debts. Are they joint debts or debts in your name? Debts secured on the property?0
