Jewelery I no longer want

Hello

I have a white gold ring (band) with 7 small diamonds in it from an ex boyfriend. We split up over a year ago and I don't want the ring anymore. What are my best options for selling it? eBay? Jewellers? Melting it down and reusing etc?

Thanks

I just sold an old ring with Tesco Gold Exchange. They have a promotional offer until 31st Jan paying £10 pergram of 9ct and £20 for 18ct. I gave them a ring with 4 tiny diamonds in and that was fine and I think that is the best price per gram on the net.
  • White gold always does well on ebay I find. Just make sure you get a good piccie of it.
  • Cheers guys!

I'd o to a jewellers. They know what they are doing and I've always had a good success. You don't need to sell - you could justtake it in and ask what they would offer you. It gives you a good benchmark. I'd recommend using an independent jewellers rather than a 'cash for gold' type.
    House saving Targets:
    £17,700 / £20,000
  • Do also think about a jewellers in terms of reuse - if you're moneysaving big style it'd be nice to make some cash, but you could reset the diamonds into a pendant or something, depending on size etc... Call it a "freedom necklace" or something :-)
