I bought a book this morning direct from the authors site it has come as a zipped file but every time I click on it it starts trying to open but its as if its stuck and my browser window just keeps flashing as if its in a loop
I have no idea what I am doing wrong or if I should be doing something else, I have emailed the person who I bought it from but received no reply yet:( Does anyone have an idea what might be going on, I'm using windows Vista - thanks for any ideas:)
Thank you for this site Martin
The time for change has come
Good luck for the future

if the browser is refreshing in IE it might be blocked by the info bar
look for a new yellow bar that appears click it and allow download0 -

If the externsion is .zip, XP onwards should have the option, unless you have installed an unzip program like winzip/winrar
Try using 7zip.
Have you actually saved the file to your machine?!!

It just says the name name of the book and ZIP file, sorry I'm not very techie should I look elsewhere? when I originally downloaded I chose save not open so I presume this means its saved to my laptop and it shows in my download file, I dont have any of the other programs mentioned, should I download 7zip then? I checked my Vista book and it too says to right click and extract but as before this dosent appear to be an option :wall:Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
