Car to be SORN when does NCB expire?

Hi,
My Car is going to be SORN as I’m out of the country for 2-3 months and as such I don’t want to renew my pending car insurance, but by the same token I don’t want to lose my 5 yrs No Claims Bonus – anybody know how much grace you get?
