Holiday baggage Delayed

I just came back from holiday. My & my partner shared one suitcase, it was lost on the outbound flight. While we didn't know if we'll get the case back soon we went out and get some essential stuff as replacements. The suitcase turned up two days later (that's 1/3 of my holiday gone), we spent about £100 to replace a few bits, that also includes approx. £30 taxi trip from hotel to airport (return) & phonecalls.
Just wonder even though the suitcase i found, would we be able to claim any money back from the airline/ travel insurance for the hassle and the money we spent? We flied with Monarch, does anyone know what their policy is?
Thanks in advance.
