Make sure it's the correct model, the new ones are wireless controllers, the older ones are wired and aren't compatible! (I was going to get one for exact same reason until I saw that it wouldn't be compatible as we have the wireless model!)
I hope Martin put in his email the difference between the models or there may be some unhappy campers thinking they are getting the new model for that price!0 -
This is the older style version. My eldest son had the console and games for Christmas 2007 when he was nearly four (four in the March) and in hindsight wish we had given it to him at a younger age - he did continue to play with it a lot until he discovered the wii and ds Christmas 2009. His younger brother will be the lucky owner some time this year.0

To be fair, not everyone can afford a Wii, Xbox ect, For the money this is a really good bargain. I know lots of kids that would be over the moon if they reveived this as a gift.robstersgirl wrote: »I bought this for my daughter a couple of years ago and it was rarely used ,kids of the wii /xbox/ds generation will be disappointed i think.0 -

I did think about this myself but decided to go for it anyway. Its a good introduction to using a game system if they havent used one before.lesleysanderson wrote: »To be fair, not everyone can afford a Wii, Xbox ect, For the money this is a really good bargain. I have a Wii but think that at 4 years old DS is too small for one. It took me ages to justify buying myself one as they are soooooo expensive and I would be very upset if anything happened to it. DS will be just as pleased with the learning system as it will be 'his'. Maybe when he gets older and more used to handling a games system I will let him play the wii but until then I am sure he'll love this

What age do you think little ones can start playing with this? My DS is only 18mths, but loves buttons, remotes etc, so would it be suitable for him for next Christmas or still too young?

My son is autistic, I know he will love this. Anything involving Thomas is a hit.0
