Do you have a 0% offer, or are you hoping to get one?
You can transfer the balance to your card (iunless your provider specifically asks and objects, but it is unlikely). Remember it will become your debt, not your partners. You are the one who will have to make payments or be chased by angry men with big sticks, not her/him.0 -
hi thank you yes i have a 0% offer already i was just seeing as we are trying to cut back and save i thought it would be an ideal way to save a little on intrest, i know it will turn into my debt and to be honest i helped spend but we would jointly pay back:)0

but we would jointly pay back
Assuming your partner doesn't die, get sick, have an accident, get made redundant or leave you.
Obviously we hope none of that happens but you have to be aware of what you are taking on and that legally is becomes your debt.
Lots of people never consider these things and how they would deal with them if it did happen.
My view is that when you take on debt you should consider what would happen if you could not pay it back for some reason.
There are steps you can take to plan for this. One way is to take out insurance.0
