Hi all,
My Nationwide credit card payment is due on 29th Jan which is a Saturday. Does that mean it'll come out of my account on the next working day after that (i.e. Monday 31st)?
Thanks,
Red.

Is it a DD or a standing order you have set up? If it is the former, DDs can vary month on month, but your statement should say, DD to come out after X date, be aware though, sometimes it may be before. If it is a standing order, then it will be the Monday. I would cover myself either way to be on the safe side!0

It will come out on Monday if it's due over the weekend - recent experience (DD) earlier this month confirms it.0

I think it can vary.
For me (Natwest) although the DD isn't taken until the Monday, the funds required to pay it are usually 'frozen' on the Friday.
Same happend when there are bank holiday's etc.0 -
Some banks do require the funds to be in the working day before, it will be in the T+Cs.0

it's upto the provider really, whenever the present the DD to your bank. normally they come out the day after the weekend though0

This is correct of Natwest, they do 'remove' the money at midnight'ish on the Friday for DDs that are due on the Saturday or Sunday of that weekend. Always happens to me and I'm with Natwest.PMA - Positive Mental Attitude
It works for me - you try it!0 -
I'm with Nationwide and I had that problem over the Xmas holidays. I had a look back at my previous statements (online) to see when they were sent, then I managed to work out when it would come out. The 29th must have been a weekend within the last year so it can help you find out what they normally doSealed Pot Challenge - 1264:jGetting Married 27th April 2013:j0
