I placed an order on dvdi.co.uk which looks a professional and reasonable site last month, the 10th of October to be exact. And yet I still haven't had delivery of my item, I have e-mailed the site 4 times!! And I know they've read them every time and yet they haven't replied!! I don't know what to do, they don't have any phone number of any sort and I know I've been ripped off.
Does anybody have any suggestions? please?

write to them at their address here :http://www.dvdi.co.uk/layout1.jsp?s2=2&page=text&text=contact&title=Contact%20Us
As to your description of them being a dodgy outfit, i came across this statement on their terms:
Force Majeure
DVDi.co.uk shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
I doubt that it would be effective if taken to court, as they seem to be denying liability. If, say, their courier damaged the item, then DVDi, as the principal, would be held ultimately responsible.Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0 -

I take it you're using something like read notify.com? Contact Trading Standards and ask them for advise or if you used a credit card do a charge back through them.0 -

that would stop me from buying form this site as that is going against the dist selling regs set down by the OFT. In order for a payment to be taken you have to receive goods or services or no payment is viable. I've just used this with an ISP company who tried to bill me for just under £780 for a service a didnt receive and nor could i due to BT, got the debt wiped off,0 -
They have an ebay shop, you could try and get their details through that0

Distance Selling Regs do not apply to DVDs if they are unsealed, though (but I hope they would be if bought new!)Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0 -

Oh course thanks for the reminder0 -
Dvdi will also only deliver the first 3 orders to the cardholders address and each order has to be placed 1 week apart! Just found this out after wasting half an hour trying to place an order for brothers Xmas prezzie and although you can add as many delivery addresses as you like you can only use your own until you have placed the 3 orders.
On Quidco the description reads" DVDi.co.uk offer superb value DVDs, CDs, & Games delivered FREE WORLDWIDE and not just limited to the UK or Europe!" which sounds great until you discover the small print on the dvdi site: "The first three orders must be sent to the cardholders address and not exceed £75.00. The increase in fraudulent transactions has led to this measure being put in place. Orders received after the initial three can then be sent to alternative postal addresses anywhere worldwide."
(I know CDWow do free worldwide delivery but they don't have the dvd I wanted)"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

I'm also having problems with this company. I ordered a UMD on 24 November. I received an order confirmation email but the status is still saying ordered. They haven't charged me (yet) and I haven't received the item obviously but it's getting too late for Christmas now as I also need to post it elsewhere. This thread is a bit worrying now!
I have emailed them twice and also get a read receipt but they do not respond. I've emailed to cancel my order but I won't hold my breath. At the end of the day if they do charge me it's only £5 I've wasted. But it does wind you up. DVDi show up on all the searches on Find DVD for having the cheapest UMDs. Somebody should report them and get them shut down if they are ripping people off."If the Apocalypse comes; Beep me!"0
