One Tel are stopping their Calling Card Service - I need an alternative!

Hi all

My home line provider is BT but I use Onetel to keep my business calls seperate (and cheaper!)

Im self emplyoyed and work from home / client site. One Tel also offer a Calling Card where I can make 0800 (free) calls from clients homes and have any calls charged to my One Tel account.

The calling card service is going to be scrapped at the end of November and I need another company to replace them!

Does anyone have any ideas?

Ive been in touch with Euphony but they dont offer the service. BT calls are 12p per minute when calling regular land lines remotely which is just daft!!!!

I also want to keep work and home calls seperate so the one company solution isnt seeming practical.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Using https://www.18185.co.uk from home instead of BT would keep your business calls cheaper and seperate, even cheaper then OneTel do now.(Just 4p for a Geographical call, not 4p per minute).Plus cheaper mobile and ngn calls.

http://www.firsttelecom.com/residential/residential-topupandtalk.htm offers a prepaid service with auto top up you can use from clients. They will supply you with itemised calls if you need them.

The OP wants to make calls from landlines

Alpha Telecom has a similar service to First Telecom, either register numbers on the account or enter the PIN number on access. Their rates are not as good, but ...

I'd almost stopped using it as UK landlines are 4 pence a minute, but I just discovered that 0844 callthrough numbers can be called for 5 pence a minute, which could be useful for reaching mobiles. It could be pretty boring entering all the numbers, though you could set up speed dials for a couple of 0844 providers.
