Hi can anyone help im am slightly confused over this,I have just taken over being a full time carer for someone who is now on full disability rate due to car accident,Im now also on income support now as had to stop work and i have a young son.i am now in receipt of the £53 CA,Iv applied also for income support and have been awarded £41 a week.Is this correct iv heartd about carers premium i dont understand if this is party of the £41 income support as web sites say this should be paid automaticly,therefore is it a element of the £41,Also everyone else i know receives £65 income support,Are these figures correct in total i receive £41 IS,£53 CA, and thats it apart from the childtax credits which am waiting on,Anyhelp on this thanks all.

They deduct what you get from CA from your IS then add on a carer premium.
IS= £65.45
- CA = £53.90
+ CA premium = £30.05
= £41.60 IS + £53.90 CA
=£95.50*SIGH*
