Hi.
Can someone please shed some light on this for me please. I have worked in a warehouse for a couple of years and was asked if I would help out in the office for a couple of weeks to cover someone's holiday. That was February 2010 and I have been in the office since, working on the office shift pattern. In February this year (2011) there is going to be a "restructure" due to lack of work and there are redundancies in the warehouse which I am involved in. Is there any legal arguement for me as I have been in the office for nearly a year to say that I am no longer classed a warehouse operative?
Hope thats clear?!
Thanks

Whether or not you are classed as a warehouse operative, you are in suitable alternative employment. Are there others who are warehouse operatives who would want to be considered for the office job? If so, and you are still in the pool of warehouse operatives, wouldn't your recent experience mean that you would be selected?0
