Annualcreditreport.co.uk

Thought you guys would like to know this.
Just got my free credit file report this morning from https://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk as suggested by other posters. The report said I had no searches on my file. I know this isn't true because I got copies of my files from Equifax and Experian a couple of months ago and there are searches on them. I phoned up the company annualcreditreport and it turns out they only search the credit files at Callcredit. They don't search Equifax and Experian so that explains why my credit report was inaccurate.

P.S. I'm not complaining, I just thought the rest of you would like to know that's all.

    Hi loveandlight,

You can't delete a thread once there's been a reply on it as far as I know but you should be able to delete the one that's had no replies by clicking on edit underneath the quote and then delete.

At least it was free. Checkmyfile.com charge you £6.95 to check your credit record at Equifax and Experian, but they don't receive any information at all from Experian.

All of which, if true, just goes to show...there's no such thing as a free lunch!

Far better, in my opinion, to spend £2 and buy a 'proper' report - or sign up for the Experian and Equifax 30 day free trials.

Yes that does sound like a con - I just paid the £2 for the callcredit report and got the free trials for equifax and experian (also went through quidco and got £5 back for getting the experian one I think :D so basically I got all my credit reports and gained £3 - not bad!!) Next year I'll just pay the £2 for all three so I can keep up to date with them - I'm not sure if you're allowed to do the free trials more than once (might be a bit too cheeky to try that :D !)

    Regards
