Hi all,
I am looking for recommendations please for a good white bath panel and end panel. Preferably gloss finish or good plastic, not flimsy and must be able to trim down as will be fitted to a smaller than usual size bath. The current panel has gone yellow after just a few years ( no smokers in the house, just yellowed with age)
There are of course lots online but hard to sort the wheat from the chaff when you can`t see them so hoping for some recommendations from those who have already bought or at least have knowledge of the better quality brands.
Thanks in advance,
slinky

Have recently changed my bath , so got a new panel, but its MDF and £70 , but it wont crack/bow or discolour.Have you thought of a budget?0

I recently bought an MDF one from B&Q, can't find the front panel on the website but this is the end panel. Front panel is about £50.
ETA removed the link as it doesn't work but search on B&Q and its called Tongue and Groove MDF.
Ordered via Quidco for collect at store for cashback. I saw it in someone's house first and liked it and recently pointed my boss in the same direction and he bought the same one.0 -
I don`t really have a budget in mind - I can`t afford mega bucks for designer type stuff but also think cheap as chips can be a false economy. Looking for the right combo of price/quality.
Seems MDF is the way to go, so will google to check what MDF panels are out there, including the B&Q one. Sounds way more solid than a plastic one and pleased to know it won`t go yellow.
Thanks very much to you both.

p.s. wallbash, where did you buy your panel please? Looks like the B&Q one has some bad reviews for being hard to fit.0 -
Well the panel ( hope you realise had to search thru a pile of invoices ) is called a Diamante bath panel.
Comes in two sections so you can vary the hight ( this is standard on a mdf panel)
Being mdf I could cut it down to fit ( length) Quick check on web shows it a popular panel and any plumber/show room will have them.
The cost is the problem , no one seems to pay full price at these places , as soon as you walk thru door its .... 20/25 / 30 % off , so shop around.
Ps I was sold on the idea when one salesman was so confident , he turned round and kicked the panel !!0 -
It's worth putting a couple of short brass screws at the base of these panels, they can suck up water if there's no clearance from the floor.0
