Fensa - Windows Guarantee

Hi
Really need some assistance with how to proceed...
Had new doors and windows fitted in Dec 08. Had a number of issues when they installed, but were pleased to see the back of them.
We have left a number of calls and emails asking them to come back to do some repairs under the guarantee (eg Yale letter box and outside handles are peeling, cracking to which they say is due to a bad batch) and we receive no response or are told that someone will come out to visit, but no date is ever specified!!
We received a FENSA certificate shortly after installation, but now after looking on the FENSA website and searching for them they are not listed.
Could anyone let me know what the next step should be?
Thanks
Sam

Phone FENSA and say as they (window company) were members at the time, can they (FENSA) help?
Write a registered delivery letter to the window company expecting resolution within 14 days or you will sue them for the cost of the repairs (by another company)?
Those would be my approaches anyway.0 -
Thanks Paddy. I contacted Fensa only to be told that the company has dissolved (even though their website is still herigatewdc.co.uk, now trading as Heritage Trade Windows Ltd and stating a different Fensa Reg) and to contact CPA as I got the insurance out with them at the time of puchase... but the evil conniving idiots at HERITAGE WINDOWS, DOORS & CONSERVATORIES LTD have now !!!!!!ed everything as I am left uncovered due to them dissolving the company !!! Did you by any chance pay for some or all of the purchase on a credit card?
If so, you sould contact the card issuer as they may be held jointly liable for the condition of the door.0 -

The idea of an insurance backed guarantee (IBG)is to protect you if they have gone bust.
If you did take it out then you will be able to claim. Please see below for a quote from the CPA website.
"If, due to the liquidation, receivership, administration or winding up of the business due to bankruptcy, state retirement or death of the principal(s), the company no longer exists, faults appearing after they cease to trade will be covered by the IBG. Depending on the work undertaken the IBG is available for a period up to 10 years and is backed by an authorised insurer."
