  • No list - Pigpen must be very busy - so I will have a mad scrub of the bathroom tiles in the morning. and a quick tidy of the living room. That should cover all bases!

It appears I was only ranting about my lazy family a couple of threads ago. Sadly for the older boys nothing has changed. 5 loads of washing picked up from the floor of their bedrooms. why did you not make them do this? There are enough cups, glasses, plates and cutlery up there for a full dishwasher load. So hopefully they have now loaded and put on the dw? I have filled 2 carrier bags with crisp, sweet, biscuit, chocolate wrappers and another bag with empty drink bottles. Why did they not do this too? I am

    wanders off seething.....

Hugs for you. They drive you senseless but whilst you do it, they will willingly let you. Nagging, threatening, screeching is all tiresome I know but I can promise you whilst you do it they wont. Have another hug, I'm not trying to be harsh, remember I live with 2 teenage boys! I absolutely insist that they put things in the bin/wash/dw and if they don't I find removing their laptops/games controllers etc until it is done really focuses the mind ;)

Teaching DS1 who wants to go on a golf weekend with friends but only has his reffing job that life involves having to get a job to do the things you want in life. It is going to be a long few days whilst I reiterate the principle.

Quick snack, quick finish off in the kitchen and then to bed.

Greenbee and Rach nice to see you both.

Oh I forgot, you'll like this one

DS1 at his psychiatrists, asks him why he says he wants to go back to his old school......'when I'm bad if I say things I don't want then they won't do it' so he's playing reverse psychology. When asked 'what about when you scream at Mam or Dad (using our first names as that's what he uses) go on hit me then what does that mean' ..... 'the same I've been bad so if I say to do it they won't'

Okkkkkkk so maybe now I'll understand when he's doing it in the supermarket and I get 'those looks' from other people......kids eh

    ((hugs)) for you all
One day I might be more organised...........

Am only skim reading (and skim flying!!) college assignment due in soon and I showed the titor what I have done so far, including the fire drill and she has asked why????? to everything including.....WHY should pupils, on discovering a fire, raise the alarm, and tell a teacher the location of the fire....WHY collect the registers and give them to teachers at the assembly point....and on and on and on....WHY, WHY, WHY!!!!! Surely it's obvious!!!

Sorry for little rant but I can't seem to put into words what seem so bloomin obvious...I will get there....Thanks for listening....if you are still there!!! Back to it!!!

Hi everyone, I'm doing OK so far this week...OK I know its only Monday...

    Here is my list:

Monday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining areas
    Level One

    [STRIKE]Sweep and mop floors
    Declutter and wipe worksurfaces
    [/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Wipe ALL large appliances
    [/STRIKE]
    Clean blinds/curtains and light shades
Clean out fridge.. use up those almost passed their best things
    [STRIKE]Shine sink and taps
    [/STRIKE]
    Level Three
Throw away 10 items from each room!
Wipe table and replace cloth if necessary
Wipe and replace all small appliances
    Extras
    1. HHI
    2. [STRIKE]
    3. Wipe over hob and clean cooker knobs
    4. [/STRIKE]Get rid of the webs and dust
    5. Wipe stainless steel so it is free from finger pints (baby oil for shining is good apparently!)
Believe me, this is good by my standards! My utility room has also been decluttered. I had to get DS to help me by taking a load of car cleaning stuff back to the shed, as it had 'walked' into the house and taken up residence. Don't know how I'll get on for the rest of the week, but looking good so far.

So where's the yellow wool you were looking for, then?

DD had to come along with me to the club tonight as I wasn't going to leave her home alone in the dark.

I turn my back for half an hour getting to grips with some Charlie Parker, only to find that she is getting lessons in brush technique from the resident drummer and she has blagged a Butterfly Kiss non alcoholic cocktail from the guy who runs the bar!

She now wants to come every week - and they said she's welcome. Not much of a Mum's night off, now.

So: she has now played on stage, using a professional drum kit, with a bunch of alleged adults with paying members of the public watching. At a jazz club, on a school night, where her Mum was playing.

I am doing my job well :D

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. In the past I have tried everything bar throwing the clothes out the window they are in the top floor bedrooms that have sloping roofs

Tonight they have been barred from the two rooms with TV's and from the laptop. PS3 is minus the HMI Cable. I do insist they bring washing, cups, rubbish down daily.

Past punishments include banning them from watching Orient, not taking them to football training (so they don't get picked for Sunday's game) I've throw a HDMI Cable and wii remotes into a blackberry thicket. I've changed all the laptop passwords so they can't get on.

DS2 was contrite when he came in and did everything he was told to. DS1 was very difficult. DH telephones from Newcastle and DS1 answers the phone and hurls it at the floor (he's a fast bowler in cricket) - broken house phone. DS1 is sleeping at MIL's tomorrow as I'm not having another night like this.

Why do they play up when DH is away???

Rach - hope you enjoyed your babymoon. Welcome back.
