Working and Fibromyalgia

  • Hi all

Thought i'd jump in and share my experiences...
i have fibro and work full-time. Having said that i've recently had a horrible flare up and been off for 3 weeks and did nothing at all. I'm now on phased return to work. I am office based and have a chair, keyboard, mouse and footrest vis access to work.
I have been on and off different meds for the past 9 months but nothing much seems to help, i seem to be a bit over sensitive and get lots of different side effects which outweigh any good effects:(
I am going to try to continue working and take time off when i need it. The company i work for only pay 14 days sick per year SSP for any more, which has an impact on my wages but i've learnt that when i need to stay at home i need to stay at home! This doesn't help when the bills come in but such is life.

I've found it really helpful reading all your posts and how you manage. :)
