I also wasn't suggesting neccessarily that you don't pay... When I said barclaycard may be able to take back the debt I mean from the debt collectors- so you pay them directly at an affordabel rate with maybe a decrease in interest. I don't think that asking for this would be irresponsible in your position- quite the opposite. I think take charge and try to make it manageable and ok for future credit (you'll want it at some point even if just mobile contract). Good luck.0

Yes, I'll certainly have a think about that. Being on a payment plan with Barclaycard wouldn't look as bad as being on a plan with CSL! I really do want to get this sorted out - I've resigned myself to the fact it's going to take a long time, but I would feel better about it if I knew that my credit score will improve again one day.
Approximately £2000 of that is interest, so I would love them to take a bit off! I know that maybe sounds selfish of me after running up the debt, but the interest is almost the same amount as the bill. Ouch.Wannabee champagne girl...on a beer income.0
