Someone needs to audit some of the articles on the site, which are so out of date as to be useless.
For example, the cheapest way to buy shares hasn't been updated since 19 October 2007 (although there is stop press headline dated 30 June 2009):
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/cheap-online-sharedealing
Wouldn't it be better to remove the page altogether, than leave out of date info sitting there?
Cheap DIY article was last updated on 9th Sept 2010:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/cheap-diy-home-garden-deals
And TuneChecker has no date at all:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/tunechecker-special-email
Could you use your own alerts feature to ensure someone checks these regularly (say, every 3 months to start with)?

I agree to an extent. I think it is useful to keep the info up for various reasons, however I think it would be useful to add a health warning to articles that are susceptible to change.Best Regards

Hi folks,
Thanks for the feedback.
We are actually in the process of adding last updated dates into every article in the top right - I think this is the best way to deal with this, as information in older guides can still be useful.
We always try to remove any incorrect info as soon as we are aware, though I am certain you could find examples of this on the site - and any that folks let us know of via the forums or email we take action on.
We are working towards full up-to-date-ness on all guides, but clearly this is a huge task and often this comes down to decisions on priorities - but the forum feedback we get is really helpful on this

PS - Tunechecker prices are updated very regularly, as we 'scrape' them from other sites. If you spot any incorrect ones, it'd be great if you could email tunechecker@tunechecker.comFormer MSE team member0 -

Thanks for your reply.
Dates on all articles will certainly help. However, there are still articles that are so old that it just isn't worth leaving them on the site.0
