Selling Engagement & Wedding Ring

I am getting rid of my old engagement & wedding ring from a very bad marriage. To be honest I have never wanted much money for them - I just want to get rid of them!! But now Im in a position where I am trying to save as much money as possible so thought it was best that I at least try and get something for them.
Can anyone recommend where I could sell them to get the best money for them?
Obviously theres ebay but I dont have any pictures of them (and for the life of me cannot get any good pics that make them look nice). Is it worth one of those gold buying places or perhaps a pawn shop.
Dont really know where to start but thought someone might be able to help me out?
Thanks!

I have sold jewellery on ebay in the past and got a good price for it. I had trouble getting clear photos, so I put my rings in a box which I left open and shut them in the scanner. The pics turned out great after a bit of resizing.0

Have a look on e-bay and check out the angles that make other people's look good - it might be you need to shine a lamp on it to get it to sparkle a bit more, and don't forget to give it a good clean first.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

ebay can be good - but be careful if you havent sold on there before and set a realistic reserve. take a good clear photo and describe the rings accurately. be honest about any scratches or visible flaws in the stones. to get an accurate idea of price you can ask a local jeweller for a ballpark figure - there will be a small charge but its worth it or you can at least get an idea of scrap value -cash converter will do this for you free as you dont have to accept their valuation!
if you think the rings are worth it then you can put them into auction, but it will cost you in commission if they sell - anything from 10 to 20 per cent but sometimes you WILL get more this way especially if the rings are of good design and quality. good luck and I hope you get a decent price for them.0
