Light bulb getting brighter....but i need some help to get it to full power!

Hi everyone:hello:
I`m getting there slowly, but do need some more advice.
I haven`t put up my soa yet, as i`m in dispute with the council over my housing benefits and council tax...that`s another story....but as soon as that is sorted i can do it and post it up.
I`ve applied today for my credit report from Equifax... so first step.
What i really need to know is, should i apply to Experian too?
Another query is that i know i have a catalogue bill to settle, but i never signed an agreement for it- what steps should i take there?
When my report comes, and i contact the creditors, do i start by asking them for proof of the debt ie, that they have all the relevent paperwork, before i come to an agreement with them?
I really do want to deal with all the debts, but will it make it a worse process by drawing it out all time-wise by asking for this information?
I also am fairly sure that some of the debts could be settled by my reclaiming charges on them...is it wise to maybe start a process of reclaiming when i get the information i need, or should i set up repayment plan and then claim once the plan is set up?
Thanks everyone in advance!

Why dont you post your soa as it stands now, and then when your ct and hb is sorted you can alter it?
its your outgoings that people will be able to help you with but if you wait for all the information you may lose out.
post what youve got now and let (us) DFW nerds;) help
glad to see the lightbuld is getting brighter - they're a bit like the evergy saving ones - they start off quite dim but come up trumps in the end. :rotfl:
puddsAugust 2009 grocery challenge £172.64/,,,,,
no point in doing grocery challenges, have no money left over to eat :0/0 -
i agree with puds

ONce youve done your SOA, that really is the start of the process- the LB will get brighter from there on in, when you know what you need to do , and can crack on with the tasks
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
