Tom Tom Volume

I have just bought a Tom Tom XL2 and have found that with the volume on 100% I am unable to hear the voice instructions if I have the radio on.

I like to drive with radio 2 on (quite low volume) and am wondering if I have to drive in silence in order to hear the Sat Nav, or is there something I can access on line maybe to increase the volume?

I have no hearing problems normally.

Can anyone hlep?

Must be your hearing or the unit is defective. I used my Tomtom in a lorry and could hear my Tomtom over the noise of the lorry engine and the radio.

I take it you have tried different voices ??

friend of mine works in a shop, guy brought one back as he said the sound was distorted , turned out one of his kids had installed a Dalek voice and it was set to that, lol

  • nearlyrich - I think you may have hit on the problem, it could be a faulty one. I have compared it to 2 others belonging to friends and the volume on mine is much quieter.

    Back to Halfords I suppose.
