npower are a total no-no for serial switchers on account of their dodgy annual discount paid in arrears! You have to sometimes bide your time until the cash back on offer becomes too big to resist!

If you're on a bg homecare contract ask your engineer when he comes round...can offer you 120 cashback on a ringback comparison.

There would be no serial switchers if the providers had one simple tariff each where everything was clear instead of about 30 odd each.

I don`t see why people who are not on DD should have to pay more for fuel than the rest of us.

We all have to cook, keep warm and have lighting.

All the talk about maintaining meters is just eye-wash.

It`s the power companies that are paying the cashback, instead of competing with each other and reducing prices.
  • which cheaper tariff is that please?

    Any additional terms and conditions?

I couldn't agree with you more! The principal of offering cash back is stupid, but I make no apologies for taking advantage. My annual cash back (net, after fees) tends to average out at approx £200- £250. Which is approx 20-25% of my annual bill. Of course, if everybody did it it would be stopped. Similarly, if everyone on the net changed from their existing standard rate to the cheapest online deal, these 'super duper' online deals would be nowhere near as 'cheap' as they are now! It's just a very very bizarre industry, TBH.
